I just built my PC and I'm debating whether to set my RAM speed to 6000 MHz or keep it at 5200 MHz. What would be the best option for performance?

Make sure to check your CPU specs on the manufacturer's website. It will tell you the maximum RAM speed your CPU can handle, which is crucial.

Just a heads up, my motherboard sometimes resets my RAM speed back to 5200 MHz, but I hardly notice a difference. It's pretty easy to enable the profile in the BIOS if you need to change it.

Try running it at 6000 MHz and check for stability. If it's stable, great! If not, you can always lower it back down. I'm using a Ryzen 5 7600 with 6000/CL36 RAM, and it works well for me.
PCEnthusiast23: That's good advice! Stability is key, and if you're not experiencing any crashes, keep that speed!

If your setup supports it, definitely go for the 6000 MHz. It should give you better performance overall. Just enable the setting and see how it runs!

It really depends on the RAM you purchased. If you got a 6000 MT/s kit, you should enable the profile to make the most of it. Don't miss out on that performance boost!
