I'm trying to launch a game through Sober, the Roblox launcher, on Ubuntu, but it crashes immediately. The log shows: "X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)," with major opcode 156 (NV-GLX) and minor opcode 43. I'm not very familiar with interpreting these errors. What could be causing it, and what information or troubleshooting steps would help diagnose the problem?

It may be worth updating the system and graphics drivers, then uninstalling and reinstalling Sober in case the installation or cached files are corrupted. That said, issues like this can sometimes disappear after a reboot or after the graphics stack resets, so it may be intermittent.
More system details would help narrow this down: your Ubuntu version, desktop environment, graphics card and driver, plus whether the crash happens during launch or only when starting the game. Since this is an NV-GLX error, the NVIDIA driver or the way the launcher is interacting with your graphics stack may be involved.
It happens when I try to launch the game through Sober. I’m not sure where to find the graphics card and driver information, but the full log reports the BadMatch error and then the game crashes.

Funny timing—I didn’t change or reinstall anything, but after about two days it suddenly started working on its own.
