I bought a Lenovo Legion laptop in December, and earlier today the 2, W, and S keys suddenly became unreliable. I often have to press them repeatedly before they respond, although once a key starts working, it may function normally for a few presses. This began shortly after a Windows update, so I'm unsure whether the cause is software or a hardware problem. I checked Lenovo Vantage, but it says the laptop and its drivers are already up to date. What should I try next?

Since only a few nearby keys are affected, test whether they work in the BIOS or Lenovo’s hardware diagnostics, before Windows loads. If they fail there too, it’s probably a keyboard hardware problem—possibly debris, a loose connection, or a defective keyboard—and the laptop may need service. If they work normally outside Windows, try uninstalling the recent keyboard or Windows update, reinstalling the keyboard driver through Device Manager, and testing with an external keyboard. Lenovo Vantage reporting that everything is current doesn’t rule out a Windows update issue.
