I recently switched to Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop, and most things are working well. However, some online videos get stuck loading instead of playing. Could this be related to missing H.265 or another video codec, and what should I check to fix browser playback?

Some videos may use H.265/HEVC or another codec that your browser doesn’t support out of the box. Since this is happening in a web browser, VLC won’t directly fix browser playback, but it can help confirm whether the video itself works. Make sure your browser and multimedia codecs are fully updated, and install Mint’s recommended multimedia codecs if you skipped them during setup.
