Strange Safari Tabs on My Phone – Could It Be Malware?

I've been noticing something weird with my phone. Occasionally, when I wake up, I find Safari tabs open that I definitely didn't search for. Just today, I woke up to the Buffalo Wild Wings website, and another time it was for a sandwich place I've never heard of—I'm in California, so this doesn't make sense. The weird part is, there's no record of me searching for these sites in my history. I looked it up and found some info suggesting I might have malware on my phone. What do you think? Is this a sign of a bigger issue, or is there another explanation? Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, the chances of you having malware on your phone are pretty low. You could consider changing your passwords just to be safe, and enabling two-factor authentication wouldn't hurt either. It’s more likely you accidentally clicked on some pop-up ads or something without realizing it.

Thanks for the tips! I'm kind of tech challenged, so I'll definitely take your advice and check my passwords.

What kind of iPhone do you have, and which iOS version are you using? That info could help narrow it down a bit for us!
