I'm having a tough time installing my Thermalright Aqua Elite AIO cooler. I've spent around half an hour trying to screw in the two thumbscrews that attach it to the motherboard standoffs. I can manage to secure one side, but the other side just won't cooperate. I'm scared I might damage my motherboard if I apply any more pressure. Any tips on how to get this thing installed properly?

Sounds frustrating! Make sure the pump is oriented correctly because sometimes it only fits one way. Instead of forcing one side down all the way, try tightening it just enough to get it started, then move to the other side. Are you laying the case flat when you work on it? That might help.

I get what you're saying, but I think something's off with the screws. Maybe they're stripped or just not matching up. I've had to just step away for a bit too.
