Struggling to Learn HTML/CSS While Working Night Shifts—What Should I Do?

Hey everyone! I'm a beginner diving into HTML and CSS and have made some decent progress. However, I work night shifts and find it really challenging to stay focused on my lessons. I know learning these languages isn't super hard, but my night schedule makes it tough. Should I consider switching to a day shift, or are there other techniques to manage my learning? I'd love to hear your advice! Thanks! 🙏

If your job is really interfering with your learning and changing it won’t negatively affect your life, then why not? It could definitely be worth considering switching shifts if you have the chance to do something that suits you better.

Hey fellow night shifter! I’m also on a night schedule, starting work at 4 PM and wrapping up at midnight. If you feel like your energy and focus are suffering because of the night shifts, and you believe switching to a day job wouldn’t worsen your situation, then go for it! Just keep in mind, even if you change jobs, your free time might not increase significantly. It’s really about how that shift impacts your mental and physical well-being. I suggest connecting with others learning HTML and CSS—whether through forums, Facebook groups, or Discord. Engaging with like-minded people can really keep you motivated, even if you can’t practice as much as you’d like.
