Struggling with Charles Petzold’s “Code” Book – Need Study Tips

I've started reading "Code" because my seniors recommended it, but I find it really confusing. At this point, I'm just slogging through the pages without grasping much. The section on logic gates has really stumped me, especially since there are a ton of them. I've already had a hard time with relays, and now this seems like a new low. I'm considering re-reading the binary chapter and pages 90 onward, and I plan to take notes and use some study techniques to help me out. Fortunately, I have a lot of free time right now. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! By the way, I'm also taking CS50 at the same time.

What specific areas of logic gates are you struggling with? Don't hesitate to ask detailed questions here. I have a background in electrical engineering and can likely help out!

Learning by doing can often help more than just reading. Why not try building a small project? It could really solidify your understanding of logic gates and relays.

You might want to ask a tool like ChatGPT to summarize the chapters for you. It could save you some time and help clarify your understanding!
