I've replaced nearly every component in my PC except the RAM and motherboard, yet I'm still experiencing input lag. This issue is particularly noticeable in competitive games like VALORANT and CS2, where every millisecond counts for actions such as counter-strafing and pre-firing angles. Initially, I thought my setup was fine, but after trying other PCs, even those with similar or lower specs, they felt much more responsive. My current setup started having issues since I got it back in 2022, and I've made numerous upgrades since then:
- Replaced GPU: Upgraded from an integrated RX580 8GB.
- Power Supply: Switched from a generic 700W to a Corsair CV 550.
- Storage: Tried running games off both SSD and HDD, no difference.
- CPU: Upgraded from a Ryzen 3 3200G to a Ryzen 5 3600, which I expected would solve the problem, but it didn't.
- Monitor: Changed from a 60Hz to a 1080p 75Hz model.
- Keyboard: Current keyboard is a blue switch mechanical model (Rakk), which I've had for a long time.
- Motherboard: Swapped out for a newer version of the same MSI A320M-PRO motherboard. Not sure if that's a factor.
- RAM: Upgraded memory from 1x8GB 2666MHz to 2x8GB at 3200MHz with some overclocking.
Any suggestions on what might be causing this input lag?

You might want to try a different keyboard. And honestly, a 75Hz monitor isn't ideal for those competitive games; I'd recommend upgrading to at least a 144Hz or higher if you're serious about reducing lag. Also, your GPU is pretty old at this point.
I'd bet your keyboard is holding you back. Does it have anti-ghosting? If not, you could be missing inputs during critical moments.
If you're still having problems, have you considered reinstalling your operating system? Trying Windows 10 or Windows 11 might help clear things up.
I suspect the monitor could be a part of the issue. If it has a higher response time, it might be lagging behind what you're trying to do, especially if you're used to playing on a 144Hz or 240Hz monitor before.
Have you thought about tweaking your mouse sensitivity? Sometimes a little adjustment can make a big difference, especially in fast-paced games.

I've been eyeing a high refresh rate monitor lately. I used to hit Global Elite and Faceit 8 on Valorant even at 60Hz, so maybe I can improve with a better monitor.
