I have a Dell Inspiron 16 7610 equipped with an Intel i7 11th Gen processor and an RTX 3050 graphics card. However, I'm facing significant performance issues while gaming. For instance, when I play Valorant, I only get about 50 FPS instead of the expected 200 FPS, and even lighter indie games like Firewatch start at 40 FPS but can drop to as low as 10 FPS, making them unplayable. I've already tried a lot of common fixes, like ensuring it's using the RTX 3050 instead of the integrated GPU and even doing a fresh installation of Windows. Initially, I hit 300 FPS in Valorant, but the performance has since dropped. To give more context, I bought this laptop from eBay, and after trying to debloat it since my SSD was nearly full, the performance worsened. I even switched to a custom, lighter version of Windows 11, but nothing has improved.

Those debloated or lite versions of Windows can actually cause more trouble than they're worth. I'd recommend going back to a standard Windows installation if you can. Plus, I think your laptop isn't really set up for gaming. The RTX 3050 is designed mainly for business use, so cooling might be an issue here. You’re probably comparing it to desktop versions that have really great cooling systems that can sustain performance better.

Okay, I’ll look into that. But when I researched performance issues, it seemed tied to testing the laptop itself, not just the 3050.
