Suggestions for Building a Budget Gaming PC for Family Use

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade from my mini PC to a full desktop that's capable of decent gaming for my family. We're into split-screen co-op games like Split Fiction and Reanimal. Currently, my mini PC has a Radeon 680m integrated graphics card, which handles games like Cyberpunk at low settings with about 30fps.

We usually play PS4 era titles such as Oblivion Remastered, Cult of the Lamb, and Palworld, and I'd love to enjoy these as well as some newer games without having to downgrade to 800x600 resolution at low graphics settings. I'm based in the UK, and ideally, I'm hoping to spend less than £500, but I'm open to spending a bit more if necessary since it's been 15 years since I've built a PC. Any recommendations?

It sounds like you're on the right track, but it’s good to keep in mind that £500 is quite tight for a decent gaming setup these days. You might want to consider a combo of an AMD CPU and GPU, or even an APU, which is great for a console-like experience. You can also look into installing SteamOS if you want more flexibility.
