I'm considering making the switch from Windows to Linux after using it my entire life. My main focus is gaming on my desktop, and I'm looking into Pop!_OS or Bazzite as potential options. Are there any other distros you'd recommend, or reasons to choose one over the other? Also, any beginner tips would be greatly appreciated since I'm pretty clueless about this whole process. Thanks a ton!

Many newcomers to Linux find Linux Mint to be the best fit, as it's user-friendly and widely recommended for those transitioning from Windows. It’s a solid choice for beginners and has a helpful community.
If you have your eye on Pop!_OS, it’s a great option, especially for gaming, and the new release comes out on December 11! It features good graphics card support and has its own app store for easy software installation. You can try various distros using a USB drive—just download the ISO, flash it, and boot from it to test things out. Just remember to disable secure boot in your BIOS. It’s quite simple!
Thanks for the tips! I was considering dual-booting different distros but wasn't sure if flashing a USB was the easiest option. Sounds like it is!

I’m leaning towards Pop!_OS too since it seems to cater well to gamers and developers. Have you tried dual-booting yet?
