Hey all! I'm building my first PC, and I'm looking for some feedback on the parts I've chosen. My goal is to run pretty much everything at 60 FPS on a 2K resolution. Here's what I have so far:
- PSU: Super Flower Leadex VII XP PRO 1000W (pending)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D (purchased)
- GPU: RTX 5070 Ti (purchased)
- Motherboard: MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk (pending)
- Cooler: Phantom Spirit 120 EVO (pending)
- Monitor: Dell Alienware AW2725DF 26.7" 2560 x 1440 360 Hz
- RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 64GB (32 GBx2)
- Storage: Kingston KC3000 1TB x1, Kingston KC3000 2TB x2 (pending)
Most of the parts are still to be bought, as I'm pacing my spending. I'm particularly unsure about my RAM and storage choices. What do you think?

You probably don’t need a 1000W PSU. I have an RTX 5080 paired with a 9800X3D and I’m using an 850W, which works just fine. But if you want the headroom, go ahead. Just keep in mind that 64GB of RAM can be quite expensive and might be overkill for gaming. Dropping down to 32GB could save you some cash without sacrificing performance.

The ideal wattage is often 50-70% of the PSU's capacity to avoid straining it. Plus, the price difference between a smaller PSU and RAM or SSD isn’t that significant.
