I'm preparing to build a new PC and I already have two SSDs and two monitors. I'll be using an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, Gigabyte X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 motherboard, G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 64 GB RAM, and other parts including an MSI Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU. I'm curious about whether my SSDs will have Windows already installed or if I need to reinstall it. Any suggestions for different parts would also be great!

If your SSDs came from an older PC that had Windows on them, you should be able to boot from them. But keep in mind, if the license was OEM (like from a prebuilt system), it might deactivate with the new hardware, leaving you with a watermark. If it’s a personal license tied to your Microsoft account, then you should be fine. I’d recommend doing a clean install though; just back up your files first and format the SSDs to avoid any driver issues later on.
Are you thinking of upgrading the GPU soon or is this rig mainly for productivity? Also, why did you choose the X870E motherboard? Any particular features you liked? Just curious about your future plans with this build!
For gaming, that GPU is starting to show its age. If you're set on keeping it for now, it should still handle 1440p pretty well. That said, you could save some cash by going with a B650 motherboard instead of the X870E if you don’t have specific needs for it. Just make sure your RAM is at least 6000 MHz.
