Hey everyone! I'm 15 years old and my sister has hired me to help with the IT setup for her company. My main task is to enroll around 12 Windows laptops into ManageEngine MDM Plus and enforce some restrictions, like only allowing certain apps (like Edge), blocking access to settings, disabling USB ports, and so on. I managed to enroll my laptop as a test and see it in the inventory. I've also played around with creating different profiles and experimenting with kiosk/multi-app mode, but I find the interface a bit complicated compared to simpler tools like Deskman. I see options like Passcode, Restrictions, Wi-Fi, VPN, Kiosk, and Custom Configurations (OMA-URI), and I'm looking for tips on how to use them effectively.

Check out the training videos on ManageEngine's website! They have a ton of resources including free training sessions. It's super helpful to see how things work in action if you're feeling lost.
If your main goal is just to restrict access to Edge, setting up a kiosk mode could be the way to go. It'll lock down the system while letting users access only what they need!
There are lots of guides and documentation available for ManageEngine, so just do a quick Google search. You'll find some useful info to help you get through the setup.
You might ask why ManageEngine over something like Intune. If the company isn't on a 365 tenant, it could make more sense. But keep in mind that Intune isn't exactly a true MDM solution, so sometimes it's about finding what fits your needs best.
A crucial tip: document everything you're doing as you're setting it up! Don't wait until you're done. It’ll save you a lot of headaches later.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll definitely check those out.
