Touchpad works at login but disables itself after signing in on Fedora 44

I installed Fedora 44 on my notebook for university coursework in informatics. The touchpad works normally on the login screen, but it disables itself immediately after I sign in. Is there a terminal command or another reliable way to find out why this happens and re-enable it?

First, try the laptopโ€™s touchpad toggle shortcut. Itโ€™s usually one of the function keys, often combined with Fn. The touchpad may have been disabled accidentally after login.

Check the system logs for touchpad-related errors. You can inspect recent entries in /var/log with commands such as `ls -laFhtr`, then use `tail` on relevant log files and search for trackpad or input-device messages. Knowing the notebook model, touchpad hardware, and any error messages would make troubleshooting much easier.
