Trouble Accessing Websites on Chrome After Screentime Settings

I'm having a frustrating issue with Chrome on my laptop. I was trying to block Instagram and TikTok through my screentime settings, allowing my little brother to set the screentime passcode. Since then, something seems to have glitched, and now I can't access any websites except for Slack and Instagram. When I attempt to visit sites like Google Docs or any others, I get the message "This site can't be reached" with a "Refused to connect" error. I've cleared my browsing data and disabled all screentime restrictions. My screentime shows that web content is accessible without restrictions, and I even turned off the passcode, but nothing has changed. I can still use Safari without any problems, but all my passwords and work logins are saved on Chrome, which makes it a hassle to switch. If anyone has advice on how to get Chrome working again, I would really appreciate it!

I totally get your struggle! Try resetting Chrome settings to their default. Go to the settings menu, scroll all the way down, and look for 'Advanced'. Under 'Reset and clean up', you'll find the option to restore settings to their original defaults. This might just fix the glitch!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely give that a try and see if it helps.

It sounds like a DNS issue could be at play here. You might want to check your DNS settings to see if something's off there. Sometimes a simple switch to a public DNS like Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) can help. Give that a shot!
