Trouble Burning CDs – Need Help!

I've been trying to burn songs on blank CDs (CD-R) for the last day, but out of four attempts, none have worked. There are no errors during the burning process, but the CDs won't play afterward. I've successfully burned CDs before using the same media player (Windows), disc drive (Dell), and CDs, so I'm not sure what's changed. The only thing that's different is I switched the website I use to convert files to MP3 to cnvmp3. Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong? Any help would be appreciated!

What happens when you try to play the CDs? Can you check if they play on your computer? It might give a clue if it's an issue with the burning or the player itself.

I’ve tried playing them on my computer, and while the track names show up, they won’t actually play. It’s like the CDs are recognized, but there’s no audio.

How old are the CDs you’re using? CDRs can degrade over time, and if they're a few years old, they might not burn properly anymore.

They’re about 3-4 years old, if that helps.

Are you attempting to create a standard Audio CD or a data CD filled with MP3 files? If you're using a regular CD player, it needs an Audio CD format (Red Book) to work properly. Just a heads-up!

I'm using Verbatim CD-Rs, which I believe can handle both formats. I'm also using the Windows Media Legacy player that came with my laptop. It’s strange since I’ve used the same setup before without issues.
