Trouble Enrolling iPhones in Apple Configurator

I'm running into some problems trying to enroll my iPhones in Apple Configurator. I keep getting a 'failed to add iPhone' message around 30-40% of the time. Recently, I got two refurbished iPhones that I just can't seem to add. For reference, the devices are both on the latest iOS version, but the company I purchased them from doesn't provide a pre-enrollment service. Am I missing something here?

Make sure you're running the latest version of the Configurator app as well, sometimes updates can fix bugs like this.

It sounds like these refurbished phones might still be linked to the original owner's account. That can definitely cause issues. Have you checked if the previous Apple ID is removed from the device? If it's still tied to that account, you won't be able to enroll it in yours.

Just out of curiosity, are you using the Configurator app on a Mac or an iOS device? Sometimes that can impact how the enrollment works.

If you're having trouble enrolling, you might want to try setting up the iPhone as unmanaged first. After that, you can restore it again and see if that helps with the enrollment process. It's a bit of a workaround, but it can sometimes resolve this issue.

I gave that a shot with both devices, but it didn't work. Still facing the same issue.
