Trouble Fitting MSI B850M Gaming Plus WiFi 6E into Corsair 2500X Case

I'm having issues with my MSI B850M Gaming Plus WiFi 6E motherboard not fitting into my Corsair 2500X case. The problem is that the motherboard can't get through the upper lip of the IO shield cutout, and the standoffs aren't aligning with the screw holes on the motherboard. Has anyone encountered this issue, and how can I resolve it?

It's vital to ensure that nothing inside your case is bent or misaligned. Sometimes, extra standoffs can cause issues, so make sure you've only got the necessary ones installed. The IO shield doesn’t pass through the cutout; it should press against it. If the motherboard is a standard micro ATX, it should fit in a compatible case without much trouble. If possible, could you share some pictures of the setup? That might help pinpoint the issue!

If parts are past their return window and you're stuck, consider other options. Try checking for any physical obstructions within the case itself—sometimes the little things can throw you off. If you've already ruled out bending or extra standoffs and are just struggling with that lip at the IO shield cutout, maybe you can modify it a bit, but that’s a last resort!
