Trouble Turning On My Laptop Camera

I'm having trouble with the camera on my Lenovo LOQ 15arp9 running Windows 11. Whenever I try to use it, I get a message saying, "Your camera might be covered. To use your camera, you might need to slide a shutter near the camera, press a camera button on the keyboard, or slide a camera switch on your device." I checked the physical shutter, and it seems to be on. I've toggled it a few times without any luck, and I've also looked in BIOS, camera settings, and Lenovo Vantage. I really don't know what else to do!

Have you tried looking into the keyboard function keys? Some Lenovo models have a specific key combination that controls the camera. And remember, if your device still doesn't respond, getting in touch with support may be your best bet. It's worth checking to see if returning it is an option if it's still within warranty!

Just checking, have you done any BIOS updates recently? Sometimes a simple update can resolve hardware recognition issues, including the camera. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, it might be a good idea to consult with someone who is!

You might want to consider checking or reinstalling your camera drivers. Sometimes, it helps to get the latest ones directly from Lenovo’s site. Also, it's worth confirming that the physical switch is indeed toggled correctly; those can be tricky. If nothing works, you could also think about reaching out for support, especially if you're still under warranty!
