I have a 2017 MacBook Air and I'm trying to upgrade to macOS Catalina. The Apple website says my device is compatible, but I can't find the update in the App Store. When I try to download it from the Apple site, I get redirected to the App Store, and then an error message appears - 'AMD-Action::SP'. I have around 20GB of free storage, so I'm not sure what's going wrong. Any advice would be appreciated!

First off, what version of macOS are you currently running? It's important because if you're on a much older version, it could affect the update process. If you're on High Sierra (10.13.3), that should generally be okay, but make sure to check if there are any intervening updates you might need to install before upgrading to Catalina. Sometimes, Apple requires you to be on a certain version before upgrading to the next one.
It sounds like you've hit a compatibility snag. You may want to try downloading the macOS Catalina installer directly from the Apple Support page instead of relying on the App Store link. Also, ensure that your Mac has enough space because the installation requires more than just the initial download space.
