Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a frustrating issue where my PC unexpectedly shuts down completely when I use EXPO settings for my RAM. Here are my system specs: CPU is a Ryzen 9 9950X, with an ASRock X870E Taichi motherboard, ROG Strix 1200W Platinum PSU, 64GB G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RAM, and an RTX 5080 GPU. This issue started recently, and it used to run flawlessly at 6000 MHz with EXPO enabled. Any insights on how to troubleshoot or fix this?

I had a similar issue with my RAM kit where it completely burned out after a couple of hours with EXPO on. I ended up RMAing it. My suggestion is to first try undervolting your CPU, and also run a memtest at JEDEC speeds. If that doesn't cause any shutdowns, but you still have issues with EXPO, your OS may be at fault. A BIOS update might help too! If none of that works, you might want to consider replacing the motherboard, as ASRock boards can sometimes cause CPU damage.
I swapped in a 12VHPWR splitter and it seems to be stable now.
Just a heads up, ASRock motherboards have a reputation for potentially damaging AM5 CPUs. It could be worth looking into that if you're facing recurring issues.
Is that really a common problem?
Does your PC work fine with EXPO turned off? If it does, you might want to try a lower RAM speed or adjust the timings. Also, make sure your BIOS is up to date. Some tweaks here could help.
I tried running at 5800 MHz, but it still shuts down. It was running great at 6000 before.

Got it, I'll try that.
