I've just come back home from college and I'm trying to play some online games, but I'm having a frustrating issue with my laptop's WiFi. It keeps disconnecting randomly, even though it says I'm still connected. This problem is only happening with my laptop; everything else connects fine. I've made sure my drivers are updated, disabled power saving for the WiFi chip, set a preferred band, and even reset my network settings, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Try running a continuous ping test from the Command Prompt to see if you can track the disconnections. You can use the command `ping -t 8.8.8.8`. If that starts timing out, then your connection is really dropping. Afterwards, try pinging your router's IP address (usually something like `ping -t 192.168.0.1`). If that one drops as well, it points to a problem with your laptop's hardware or software. If the ping to your router stays stable, the issue might be with the router itself. Consider checking your wireless card and its antennas too.
