I'm looking to upgrade my setup from AM4 to AM5, but I'm not focused on a strict budget. Here are my current specs: Ryzen 5700X, Deepcool AK400 CPU cooler, 4x8GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, NZXT C1000W PSU, Corsair Carbide Spec Delta case, 4 Arctic P12 fans, Sapphire Nitro 7900 XTX, and MSI Mag X570 Tomahawk WiFi. I also have a couple of NVMe and SATA SSDs.
My needs include both gaming and full-stack development on Linux, and I occasionally run AI models (text, image, video). Keeping the PC quiet during normal workloads is important to me. I want to switch to a bigger case for better thermals and future compatibility, and space isn't an issue on my desk. I'm based in Turkiye, so availability could be a concern, especially with cases and fans. I'm looking for logical upgrades that provide meaningful performance improvements, rather than just the most expensive options. Thanks for any advice!

So you're upgrading to AM5? What don’t you like about your current setup other than the case? If you're looking for a great CPU upgrade and need higher RAM for your AI tasks, that makes sense.
You shouldn't worry about compatibility between Windows and Linux; if it can run one, it can run the other. Have you thought about dual-booting? Just install Windows first on one drive and Linux second, so you can manage both easily. This way, you'll have a smooth experience for gaming and development.
I'm already dual-booting, but my concern is more about compatibility with my hardware on Linux since not all motherboards play nice with it, especially regarding Wi-Fi drivers.

Yes, definitely upgrading! I'm aiming for a solid CPU on the AM5 platform and planning on at least 2x48GB RAM for AI workflows. Other than that, no major issues as far as performance goes.
