Upgrading from Ryzen 5 3600: Should I go for a 5800XT or wait for X3D?

I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 3600 with a Gigabyte 3060 12GB and 32GB of DDR4 3200 memory. I'm considering upgrading to a 5800XT for about $140, but a friend mentioned that the X3D models might be much better. I noticed those prices are quite high, though. I'm curious if the 5800XT would be sufficient for 1440p gaming at 60fps on medium settings. I'm not interested in switching to AM5 for now. Any advice?

The 5800XT should be more than adequate for your needs and would definitely be a solid upgrade! Since you're targeting 60fps, you might not even need to upgrade your CPU for that. If you want to enhance graphics settings later on, focusing on the GPU is the way to go.

Would getting the 5800XT help with using multiple monitors? I'm experiencing some frame drops when I'm running my second screen for podcasts or YouTube while gaming.
