I'm currently using an AMD 6800 graphics card with an Intel i5 11400F CPU and 32GB of RAM, but I'm looking to upgrade my CPU since it's holding me back while playing Minecraft with shaders. I'm considering moving to an AM5 setup since I found a bundle for an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X and an ASUS B650E MAX Gaming WiFi for $219. However, RAM prices are quite high right now. Can anyone suggest good AM4 CPUs for an upgrade or tips on where to find cheaper DDR5 RAM? I've seen some 16GB DDR5 options, but going from 32GB to 16GB seems like a downgrade to me.

If you want to stick with your existing DDR4 RAM, you might want to look into getting an LGA 1700 CPU, like the i5 14400 or i5 14600. That could be a solid upgrade compared to the AM4 platform.
I considered AM4 because I saw the 5800X for around $140 and an ASUS ROG Strix B550-F for about $120, but I’m not sure if that CPU is a significant improvement over what I currently have.
