Upgrading to a 5070: Do I Need the Splitter for My Power Supply?

I'm upgrading from a 4070 to a 5070, which has a 12-pin PCIe slot. My power supply came with a 12-pin cable that connects directly to the GPU on one side, and the other side has two Type 5 connectors. Will this work for my GPU, or should I use the splitter that came with my power supply?

What power supply are you using? I’d like to know how that 12-pin cable is labeled, too. If you could upload an image of the cable, that would help a lot!

It seems like you might have a Corsair PSU since they often use Type 5 cables. Which specific model do you have?

The power supply I'm using is a Corsair RM850x.
