Valorant Still Takes Up 9 GB in Windows Storage After Uninstalling

Windows still lists Valorant as using about 9.21 GB under Installed apps, but selecting Uninstall produces an error saying the required files cannot be found. The Riot Client was removed too, and searching for leftover Riot or Valorant folders did not reveal anything. Another uninstaller also failed. How can I remove the remaining storage entry or reclaim the space?

Try uninstalling any remaining Riot software first, then check common leftover locations such as the Riot Games folder, AppData, and Documents. If the folders are genuinely gone, the 9 GB figure may just be a stale Windows entry rather than files still using that space. You can reinstall the Riot Client and Valorant, then uninstall them normally if Windows still has a broken uninstall record.

I removed the Riot Client along with Valorant and searched for Riot-related folders, but I couldn’t find any remaining files.

Geek Uninstaller is another option that can remove a broken program entry and clean up leftovers. If it also cannot locate the files, check your actual free disk space in File Explorer. When the files are gone but Installed apps still reports 9 GB, the problem is probably Windows’ cached uninstall information rather than Valorant still occupying that space.

Revo Uninstaller can be different from a basic uninstall tool because it runs the program’s normal uninstaller first and then scans for leftover folders and registry entries. Use the portable or installed version carefully, and review the scan results before deleting anything so it doesn’t remove files belonging to another game or launcher.

I already tried another uninstaller, so I’m wondering whether Revo actually handles broken uninstall entries differently.
