I'm planning a new PC build and want to use a 32GB kit made from two 16GB modules. Since I haven't decided between an AMD or Intel processor yet, I'm wondering whether the CPU platform affects RAM compatibility or performance. What DDR5 speed, timings, and features offer the best value right now?

For a typical DDR5 build, a 2x16GB kit rated around 6000 MT/s with CL30–CL36 timings is a strong choice. You usually don’t need to pay extra for a premium brand, since many kits use memory chips from the same few manufacturers. Compare the actual speed, timings, capacity, warranty, and price rather than the logo on the heat spreader. For AMD and Intel compatibility, look for a kit that includes the appropriate EXPO and/or XMP profile; many current kits support both.
