What affordable USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters work well with Linux?

My brother recently received an older PC that does not have built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. We're looking for an affordable adapter that plugs into a USB port so he can connect to Wi-Fi. Ideally, it would support both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but we're not very familiar with computer hardware. The PC runs Linux, so compatibility and easy setup are important.
