What Are My Chances on the Waitlist for the AWS re:Invent 2025 Grant?

Hey everyone! I just got an email saying I've been waitlisted for the All Builders Welcome Grant at AWS re:Invent 2025. I'm really anxious about it, so I have a couple of questions: 1. How likely is it that I'll get accepted from this waitlist? 2. Do you think it's a good idea to follow up with the AWS team about my status? Thanks for any advice you can give!

When I went to the conference the last two years, they didn't do waitlists at all, so this is new territory. If previous participants have dropped out, you might have a shot! I suggest reaching out to AWS just to check in, to show you’re still interested and get some clarity. It can't hurt!

I’m also on the waitlist! Honestly, I’ve been hearing mixed things about it. Last year they did have a waitlist, and it seemed to depend on whether people declined due to things like visa issues. So, there might still be hope!

But isn't it pretty rare for people to turn down a grant for such a huge event? It seems unlikely!

They did have a waitlist last year, though. So it really depends on the number of slots available!
