I'm curious about the typical temperature ranges for the i9-14900K processor. I'm using an Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 Pro 420 cooler, and while gaming, my temps usually stay around 70-75°C, occasionally spiking to 80°C. I haven't played too much yet, mainly Fortnite and Arc Raiders. I also ran a Cinebench stress test where I peaked at 92°C, but after re-seating my cooler post-case swap, my max dropped to 80°C. I previously upgraded from an i7-12700K, which only went up to 50-60°C with a 240mm AIO. Is this temperature range normal?

Those temps look pretty solid! The i9-14900K does tend to run hot, so you're generally in the safe zone. If you have a Z series motherboard, you might want to consider undervolting it; that can help lower temps without sacrificing performance. Also, adding an LGA1700 contact frame can sometimes drop temps by a few degrees, so it might be worth checking out if you want to tinker a bit!
Your temps are definitely acceptable! The thermal junction for the i9-14900K is around 100°C, so you’ve got quite a bit of headroom with what's being reported. It's normal for these chips to run warm, so no worries here!
Thanks for clarifying! I keep hearing they run hot, but it's good to know what’s typical and what’s pushing it.

Yeah, I understand your concern. I often wonder about the typical temps, too. It helps to know what other users are experiencing!

I’m not super comfortable tweaking stuff like undervolting just yet, but I appreciate the tip! My setup seems to be working fine overall, just always looking for ways to maximize it.
