Hey everyone! I just got a Steam Deck and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything. I'm really eager to learn, but I have ADHD, so long instructions can be tough for me. Can anyone share the basic Linux commands I should know to get started? I've already set up a sudo password and can copy installation URLs into Konsole, but then I hit a snag with some synchronization errors. Also, I'd love to know how to install Reddit on my device! Any help would be appreciated!

It's totally fine to start with the GUI. That's what I did! Gradually, you can begin to use the terminal more as you get comfortable. I recommend learning about pipes and redirection since many commands involve those. You can always ask for explanations or look them up if you get stuck.
Did you get the Steam Deck mainly for gaming or as a portable PC? If it's for gaming, you don't really need to dive deep into Linux commands unless you want to tweak things. Stick to installing and playing games through Steam and you should be fine.
Check out some resources that can help you out! There’s a wiki page loaded with info where you can find the basics. For starters, just take regular backups and try out anything in a virtual machine so you can experiment safely.
You'll pick it up as you go along. Just keep googling your questions – we’ve all been there! By the way, Reddit disabled third-party app support, so you’ll need to use a web browser to access it for now.
