Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and could use your help. I'm about to start a BSN nursing program that's mostly online, and my current laptop is really outdated. I know this question probably comes up a lot, but I couldn't find a recent post about it. What would be a good laptop specifically for online learning? I'm looking for something that runs smoothly, has a decent battery life, and enough storage for saving my assignments. Ideally, I'd like to keep it under $500, but I'm open to spending a bit more if I can find a good payment plan. Any recommendations on specific specs to look for would also be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I’d suggest checking out refurbished or used laptops, like an older MacBook Air. They can be good options and often come at a lower price. Refurbished ones usually have warranties too! It’s a great way to save some cash while still getting a quality machine.
You don't need a super fancy laptop for online school. Just look for one with at least 8GB of RAM and an SSD for faster performance—those are key! Budget brands like Dell, HP, or Lenovo have solid options that should work well for your needs. Don’t forget decent battery life too!
Thanks for the tips! Do you have any specific models you’d recommend?

What’s the advantage of getting a used one besides the price? Are there any specific benefits from buying refurbished?
