I'm looking for secure file-sharing tools or apps to share sensitive documents with clients outside our organization. We currently block common platforms like Google Drive and Dropbox due to tracking issues. We're in need of a solution similar to a secure data vault where we can manage files securely with features like file expiration dates and detailed audit logs. While we use OneDrive and SharePoint, we're considering a more structured approach, possibly leveraging AWS. Any recommendations for tools or methods that fit these requirements would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to check out Microsoft Purview. It offers document protection with information rights management, allowing you to track and control access even after downloads. It's been really effective for us, especially in sensitive situations. I highly recommend it!

Citrix ShareFile seems to be a good match for what you're asking for. Egnyte can also be an option if you can manage a bit more complexity. Both offer decent audit capabilities.

If you're feeling adventurous, I did something similar without expensive tools. Used Yubikeys and GPG for secure file uploads via SFTP. Very secure since the data never leaves the encrypted environment. Might be more work than you want, but it sure beats the risks!
