I'm looking for recommendations on comfortable chairs that are great for long hours of coding, but I'd like to explore options other than the usual Herman Miller. Ideally, I want something affordable and not secondhand, especially after a bad experience with a foam chair that came with wine stains and had only a 6-month warranty. I'm setting up my small home office, so space is a factor too. What chairs have you used that worked well for long coding sessions? I'd really appreciate any suggestions!
You can definitely find used Herman Miller Aerons for much less than buying new. Mine was $450 and it's been a game changer—super durable, and the parts are easy to replace. If you're sitting down for 12 hours a day like we do as gamers and engineers, it's worth the investment.

While it's not an underrated choice, my Steelcase Gesture has been great! You can find good deals on refurb models. After all, I sometimes spend more time at my desk than in bed—it's worth it!
