I'm looking to upgrade my main C drive to a 1TB NVMe SSD for my powerful setup with a Ryzen 9 5950X. I currently have a 500GB Western Digital Black SN850 from 2022, and I want to know if there are better options available or if I should just get a larger capacity of my current drive. I've heard about Team Group drives - are they any good? What are the top contenders for gaming SSDs these days? Here are my custom PC specs: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Processor, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 12GB, Gigabyte X570 AORUS Elite WiFi Motherboard, 32GB DDR4-3600 RAM, and a mix of SSDs including a couple of 2TB drives.

For gaming, you won't see huge differences between NVMe drives, as the specs matter more in high-throughput scenarios than in general gaming. But if you're looking for an upgrade, I recommend the Samsung 990 Pro; it's got great speeds and reliability. Just remember, upgrading your boot drive won't significantly enhance gaming performance itself.

That's good to know! With memory prices so high, should I still consider the Samsung or look for other brands?
