What are the best brands for my PC build?

I'm planning a new PC build with the following components: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, RTX 5070 Ti GPU, 32GB DDR5 RAM (2x16), B850M AM5 motherboard, 2TB NVMe SSD, 850W PSU, and a PS120 EVO cooler. Since this build isn't cheap, I want to ensure I'm choosing quality brands. I don't need top-tier components but I'm open to investing a bit more for reliability. Also, feel free to suggest any improvements to my build!

Brands can be hit or miss, so it's better to focus on individual products rather than just the brand name. Check reviews specifically for each component to see if they have any common issues or are well-received by users.

There isn’t a single perfect brand; they all have ups and downs over time. Watching product reviews is a smart way to decide. Just make sure your components truly meet your needs. I suggest looking for a minimum of 16GB VRAM and a B650 chipset as must-haves for your build.

When it comes to the motherboard, I recommend steering clear of ASRock for AM5 X3D CPUs, as they’ve had some reported problems. For RAM, you can generally go with any brand, and for SSDs, even a basic one like Kingston NV2 or Crucial P3 should perform well for gaming. Don’t forget to consult a PSU tier list and aim for at least a tier B PSU!

Aim for components that offer the features you want. Motherboards often vary even within the same model due to differences in configuration, like USB ports and PCIe slots. I typically used ASUS boards but switched to an MSI board recently due to better USB options. I'd recommend checking out alternatives like MSI to compare!
