Hey everyone! I'm really new to video editing and I'm looking to upgrade from my MacBook Air. I'm mainly using After Effects, Blender, and DaVinci Resolve. I'd love to get some recommendations on the best CPU and GPU for these tasks. Also, if you have full build suggestions, that would be awesome! Thanks!

You might want to consider something like the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X paired with an NVIDIA RTX 3060. It should handle After Effects and Blender pretty well without breaking the bank! Also, keep an eye on your RAM; 16GB is pretty standard nowadays for video editing.

Totally agree! Just make sure to go for a decent motherboard that supports future upgrades.

And don't forget about a good cooling system; rendering can heat things up!

If you're looking for something more powerful, you might consider the Intel i7-10700K and the RTX 3070. It’s a bit pricier, but worth it for smoother performance in heavier projects.

That's a solid combo! Just make sure your case has enough airflow to keep everything cool.

Yeah, I've been using that setup for a while, and it works great for all those editing suites.

For budget builds, don't overlook used parts! You can often find great deals on CPUs and GPUs that still perform really well for video editing.

Definitely! I've picked up some components at half the price and they work like a charm.

Just make sure they’re from reputable sellers!
