I'm currently using M365 backup, but the costs are starting to skyrocket at about $200-$250 per month for 2TB of storage. While I have some cloud credits on Azure, I'm exploring better options. I'm considering an onsite UniFi NAS for local backups, but I'd love to hear about other cloud providers that won't break the bank. Any suggestions or experiences?

Veeam's 365 Backup is a solid choice for us. All you need is a NAS for backups. I’ve also heard good things about Synology’s free solution on their NAS, so that might be worth exploring too.
You might want to check out Afi.ai or Datto. Datto charges by licensed seat, so you won’t be paying per GB, which includes all your SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive data. It's been working well for us.

Storage costs are pretty high right now, so I get your concern about investing in onsite solutions. Maybe hanging tight with SaaS until prices drop is the play? Not sure if you'd be going too cheap though.
