I'm planning to build a new PC and initially aimed for a Small Form Factor setup, specifically looking at the NCase M3. However, since I've recently moved close to a Microcenter, I'm tempted by their great ATX bundle deals, especially the ones for the 9800/9850. Despite this, I still want to minimize wasted space and weight, so I'm searching for the smallest ATX case that can accommodate my 4090 and has good airflow. I already considered the Lian Li 207, but it seems a bit on the larger side. Any recommendations for compact ATX cases that still perform well?

When you're talking about small ATX cases, are you looking for ones that can still hold standard ATX motherboards? If so, there are few options you might consider! For smaller full-sized ATX cases, check out the Fractal Design Define 7 Compact and the Silverstone Grandia GD11. However, if you're okay with mATX or ITX configurations, those can be even more compact! For mATX, the Fractal Design Define 7 Mini is great, and there are smaller models like the Grandia GD05. For ITX, the Fractal Design Define 7 Nano is the smallest option out there!
Consider looking into the Cooler Master Qube 500 Flatpack. It's a low-profile case with the PSU in the same compartment as the other components, allowing for a more compact design while still offering good cooling. I used it with a 3090 before and was impressed with the airflow. You can mount fans in various ways to help with cooling, and it supports taller air coolers and even AIOs up to 280mm!
Thanks for the tip! I'll take a closer look at that option.
If you're after the smallest cases that support ATX motherboards, I'd recommend the Lian Li 207, which is quite compact. Another solid option is the Lian Li O11D Mini V2; it’s shorter and less deep, though a bit wider. Just make sure your motherboard has the main PCIe x16 slot in the correct position. Also worth looking into is the Jonsbo D41 Mesh; it's small but requires careful GPU and PSU size juggling. For a very snug fit, the SSUPD Meshroom S V2 works, but keep in mind you’ll need an SFX PSU and low profile CPU coolers. Lastly, the SFF Time P-ATX is ultra-compact but comes with limitations on component sizes.
Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll check them out.

Got it! I'm specifically looking for small ATX cases with good airflow. Will definitely check out the Fractal Design Define 7 Compact and Silverstone Grandia GD11, thanks!
