What are the best upgrade options to hit 240Hz on a 5120×1440 ultrawide?

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded to an RTX 5070, but I'm noticing some performance bottlenecks with my Intel i7 9700K while gaming on my Samsung G9 ultrawide monitor at 5120x1440. While playing Cyberpunk and League of Legends, I've been experiencing image stutters and frame rates fluctuating between 70 to 130 FPS. I'm really aiming to utilize my ultrawide to its fullest potential and achieve close to 240Hz. If I need to make an upgrade, what are my options? The current DDR5 prices are crazy high, so I'm considering keeping my DDR4 and just upgrading my motherboard and CPU. I want to avoid buyer's remorse, so I'm looking for advice on missing out on performance. I'm open to both AMD and Intel solutions. Here's my current setup:

- CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K
- GPU: Nvidia RTX 5070 12GB
- SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 C16 2x16GB
- MBD: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-I GAMING
- PSU: SilverStone SST-SX650-G (650W)

Thanks for any help!

While the 9700K might be a bottleneck for your GPU, realistically speaking, you'll unlikely reach 240 FPS at 5120x1440 on modern games without some downscaling. The ultra-wide monitor adds a lot of pixels to render, almost nearing 4K. Though your CPU plays a role, remember that the 5070 will struggle to deliver high frames in intense scenarios.
