I'm considering using a custom domain for my email aliases in Tuta Mail. Before I dive in, I want to understand if there are any disadvantages to using a custom domain for email. Anyone have insights?

If you're just using an alias with a third-party mail server, I can't really think of any significant downsides. It should work just fine for you.
Honestly, I don’t see why there would be any major disadvantages to having your own domain. It's usually a good thing!
One key downside is that your custom domain can be suspended at any time, which can be a real hassle.
