I'm looking to build my first PC after only using Macs before. Although I recently got a CompTIA A+ certification, I'm still trying to figure out the minimum specifications I need for gaming, streaming, and even doing some video editing. My goal is to run high-end AAA games in 2025-2026, but I'm unsure about what CPU and graphics card I should aim for. Once I have an idea of the minimum specs, I can decide on a budget and how much I want to invest further.

Itโ€™s a great time to build a PC, but just keep an eye on pricing trends. Right now, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM is considered standard for gaming, but it's gotten pricier lately, so if you can find it at a reasonable price, grab it! You might want to look at options like the NVIDIA RTX 3060 or AMD RX 6700 XT for GPUs that can handle gaming and streaming. Donโ€™t forget to think about your cooling system too, especially if youโ€™re pushing your PC hard while streaming!

If you don't have a set budget, I suggest starting with high-value components. You could consider the Ryzen 5 series or Intel i5 processors paired with a good mid-range graphics card. Just make sure everything's compatible. Also, check out forums where you can get real-time advice on pricing and components available in your area. Before diving in, knowing your budget is key! Are you aiming for mid-range or high-end components? Building right now is tricky due to RAM prices skyrocketing recently. If you focus on getting a solid GPU, you'll be in a better position, as GPU prices are decent right now. For gaming and streaming, aim for at least 16 GB of RAM, a mid-tier Ryzen or Intel CPU, and a strong GPU that's current. Check out detailed guides from dedicated communitiesโ€”they're super helpful!
