What Are These Faint White Spots on My Laptop Screen?

I've noticed some faint white spots on my laptop screen, particularly when I close the lid and then reopen it, and they seem to reappear on a black screen. When I rub or gently massage the screen, it looks like these spots vanish temporarily. My laptop model is a Rog Strix G16 from 2023, and it's just a year old but unfortunately out of warranty. Does anyone know what might be causing this or how I can fix it without sending it in for repairs?

Honestly, it might just be a defect in the display, especially since it’s relatively new. If it keeps bothering you and you can't fix it, you might want to consider reaching out to a repair shop for a professional opinion.

Yeah, sometimes even new devices can have issues. If it’s serious, better to get it checked out before it gets worse!

It sounds like you might have a pressure mark on the screen from something pressing against it when it's closed. I’d recommend checking if there’s anything like a key or object that might be misaligned and causing this issue. Also, if you can, try to avoid rubbing the screen too much as that could worsen the problem. Just clean it gently with a microfiber cloth.

I definitely agree. Rubbing can temporarily mask the issue but may cause more damage in the long run, so it's better to be careful.
