What can I do about choppy video streaming on Linux Mint?

I'm having a problem with streaming videos on my Linux Mint setup. Whenever I try to watch something on YouTube or other streaming platforms, the video playback is really choppy and almost unwatchable. I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps like clearing cache, using different extensions, and more, but nothing seems to help. It sounds frustrating! Have you checked if your browser is using hardware acceleration? If it defaults to CPU decoding instead of your GPU, that could be causing the lag since your CPU isn't as powerful for video processing compared to your RTX 4090. Give that a look!
