What Can I Expect on My First Day as a Backend Intern?

Normally, you'll spend early days in orientation and possibly doing some troubleshooting with machine setups. Don’t worry if you don't write any actual code right away, there'll be plenty of time for that later!

Your first few days will likely focus on getting your development environment set up rather than diving into code. In between all that, expect to watch some onboarding videos, like security protocols—like why leaving your laptop unlocked is a no-no!

Expect a whirlwind of paperwork and plenty of introductions! You’ll probably meet a ton of people, get familiar with the company culture, and go through onboarding procedures. Just a heads-up, don’t take the advice to push directly to production too seriously – that's more of a joke!
