What CDN can avoid Spain’s match-day IP blocks?

A significant portion of my users are located in Spain, and they sometimes lose access to my website during LaLiga matches. Spanish ISPs appear to block IP ranges associated with suspected pirate streaming services, which can also affect unrelated sites using shared CDN addresses. I currently use Cloudflare and am looking for a reliable alternative or architecture that reduces the chance of these blocks. Has anyone had success with another CDN, dedicated IPs, or routing Spanish visitors through a separate origin?

The blocks target IP ranges ordered by the courts, not necessarily Cloudflare as a brand. Shared CDN ranges can sweep up legitimate sites along with suspected streaming services. Another CDN such as Bunny or Fastly may work for now, but there is no guarantee its IPs will not be listed later.

I moved to BunnyCDN about six months ago and have not had any DNS-blocking problems for Spanish visitors since. Its pricing is usage-based, so you will need to estimate bandwidth and request volume, but the dashboard should show the expected cost.

A more durable option is to avoid heavily shared edge ranges. Consider a dedicated IP, a paid dedicated or BYOIP setup, or a separate origin with its own address. You could use geo-based DNS to send Spanish traffic to that origin while keeping the rest of your users behind the CDN. It is still worth monitoring on match days because the blocklists can change.

MistyKite64: Before changing providers, confirm what users are actually seeing. A timeout, DNS failure, and HTTP 403 point to different problems, and the blocked address may only be the particular edge IP your site resolves to rather than the entire CDN.
