I'm currently a computer science student looking to transfer universities and I also want to secure an internship. I'm feeling a bit lost about which certifications or skills would be the most beneficial for my situation. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated!

In my experience, there aren't really any certifications that can definitively prove coding skills in the programming field. Employers usually look for you to demonstrate your abilities through projects and contributions to existing ones. So, focus on making your own projects and getting involved in open-source work beyond your coursework. That'll set you apart!
I would advise against pursuing certifications unless a specific job you want requires it. Most employers are more interested in your hands-on experience and what you've done practically.
If you're considering certifications, I really like the ones available on Coursera. They have a lot of options focused on computer science that could be helpful. When I was applying for jobs, I had several solid projects showcased on my GitHub and highlighted on my resume. So, maybe consider getting a certification while also building a portfolio with your projects to show your skills.
